Ghana may be the newest country we’re operating in, but we have already been able to inaugurate three new schools in the Volta Region. I want to give you a quick glimpse at the very first school we opened here in Ghana: Goviepe Todzi Preschool.

The Kindergarten students were using a community health center as their classroom. Subsequently, the health center could not be used to provide services to the rest of the community.

It was incredible to see the work the community put in to the project & the progess that was made each time we visited.

Balloons, dancing, singing & speeches; Goviepe threw such a fun celebration to commemorate the opening of their new classrooms.

The new school is beautiful & the teachers & students are really enjoying their new space.

It was fun sitting in & watching the kindergarten classes in their new rooms. Teachers take attendance at the beginning of the day while the students practice the alphabet. The lesson this morning was about animals; the students had to tell the teacher where they would find each of the animals in their book.

It was such a cool experience getting to know the community members of Goviepe. I can’t wait for PoP to continue partnering with Goviepe Todzi to provide quality education to their students.
