Impact Updates
Thanks to Sequel’s support, PoP has officially completed two school builds, one in Guatemala and another in Laos. We are well on our way to serving thousands more students around the world!
An update from Línea B-2 Sector Icán, Guatemala…
Previously, the Línea B-2 Sector Icán school posed a significant hazard to student safety and learning. Without a solid foundation, the structure of the school was sunken, cracked and in danger of collapsing. Students experienced overcrowding, with two or three grades assigned to a single classroom at a time. These conditions caused distractions that hindered students from reaching their full potential and promise. Thanks to your support, PoP and the Línea B-2 Sector Icán community have officially completed a new three-classroom school! All of the currently enrolled students are so excited to soon have access to a higher-quality learning environment.
An update from Thong Phieng Vilai, Laos…
Due to overcrowding in the Thong Phieng Vilai community’s previous school, many students were forced to attend class in a structure with cracked walls, broken floors and leaky roofs made from bamboo. These conditions posed a danger to student safety and well-being, as well as to engagement and learning. Thanks to your support, PoP and the Thong Phieng Vilai community have built a new three-classroom unit to replace the dilapidated structure. The new structure will provide a safe and secure space for all Thong Phieng Vilai students to learn and thrive!
