WebpageFX’s Impact in Adaklu Kordiabe, Ghana

When we first visited the community of Adaklu Kordiabe in the Volta Region of Ghana, we discovered students studying in provisional classrooms. Some students were located in dilapidated structures made of wood and corrugated metal with dirt floors. Others were located underneath a tree. The open air layout of these classrooms exposed students to the elements: flying debris, heat, insects, rain and noise from the surrounding environment. As a result, they were easily distracted and had difficulty concentrating. These conditions were not conducive to learning.

WebpageFX recognized and responded to the needs of the Adaklu Kordiabe community and their children. WebpageFX’s invaluable support and commitment helped us build a five-classroom school equipped with new ceiling fans, blackboards, benches, desks, doors, walls and windows. Adaklu Kordiabe community members supported the project from the very beginning and volunteered to work alongside the PoP team to construct the school. Our group efforts will provide hundreds of students with access to a strong school foundation and a higher quality learning environment that will continue to benefit them for years to come.
