Peter Chieng’s Global Impact

Updates

Thanks to Peter’s support, the past two years has been very busy (and exciting!). We completed construction on two schools, which will serve thousands of students around the world.

An update from Nong Boua Kham, Laos…

Previously, the students of Nong Boua Kham were learning in overcrowded classrooms that prevented some students from attending school. Preschool students did not have a sturdy school structure, which resulted in unsafe learning conditions. Thanks to your support, PoP and the Nong Boua Kham community broke ground on a beautiful new three-classroom school in early 2018. The school was completed in May 2018, and the students are so excited to now have a school that will support their full promise and potential!

An update from Hat Sa Ngone, Laos…

Previously, many of the primary students of Hat Sa Ngone Preschool and Primary School were learning in overcrowded classrooms. The school’s structure was unsound and had bamboo walls. Because of these conditions, students were not attending class in an environment that was conducive to learning, which prevented them from reaching their full potential. Because of your support, PoP and the Hat Sa Ngone community broke ground on a new two-classroom structure in May 2017. The new school was completed in 2017 and will serve hundreds of students throughout its lifetime.
