Who Is Purpose Council?
Purpose Council members provide PoP with a sustainable expansion model that begins with marketing, leads to growth, supports innovation, and increases impact.
Whether their skills lie in effective digital marketing, social media, media bookings, design, storytelling, blog content, or influencing their networks: we need their thought-partnership to leverage PoP’s global awareness. Through lending their marketing expertise, they help us grow so we can continue to innovate and expand our collective impact. Our Purpose Council’s expertise and thought-partnership will increase visibility about our audacious years ahead, so that we can achieve these goals together.
Purpose Council members are PoP’s greatest ambassadors – and our collective work isn’t finished until we can ensure programs are available in 100% of PoP communities.
Thought Capital & Consulting
- Purpose Council contributes their expertise to PoP’s current work to help set the vision for our future growth and sustainability
- They provide guidance and recommendations for how we expand our global movement
- They help maximize PoP’s digital marketing, social media, and external affairs initiatives through identifying gaps and providing feedback

Network and Engage
- Members join an introductory meeting or call with the PoP team to share their specific area of expertise and greatest interests
- As you know, PoP is full of cutting-edge entrepreneurs, thought-leaders, and change-makers: Purpose Council grants its members access to sharing ideas with the best and brightest
- Members make best efforts to attend one or both Purpose Council networking dinners so they can network with leaders in the field
Spread the Word
- Be an ambassador for PoP’s work around the world and continue to reshape and innovate what it means to be a philanthropist
- Members have the ability to share their Purpose Council membership experience and commitment with others to encourage involvement. The best way to grow our community and impact is through referrals
One of the most significant things a member can do as a Purpose Council Member, is share PoP’s mission with your friends, family, colleagues, and greater networks. When members engage new individuals, they help move the needle in providing global access to quality education.
Collective Impact
- Members make a donation to PoP to reach a minimum annual commitment of $25,000 and help us provide quality education to more kids around the world
- As a council, we collectively provide enough funding for 3 schools per year
- As a council, we collectively provide enough funding for program sustainability for all PC schools
- As a council, we collectively elevate PoP’s Brand Awareness and Digital Marketing
We want members to see their impact. We dedicate this page to our Purpose Council members so they can see their collective impact both financially and intellectually. As part of the collective impact, members will be invited to one Impact Trip per year to see the results of their collective efforts.
